A Father’s day Irish Golf Vacation is one the most special and spectacular of golf tours you can undertake. Why not make it a golf trip of a life time? We all understand that everyone is really busy with the day to day of living, running a business, the day job, raising their kids and etc, But I am sure its now time to schedule a golf trip with dad.
The following itinerary is a sample Irish Golf Vacation for a
father and three sons (or perhaps a group of two dads and two sons) that would
like to spend quality time together. This Irish Golf vacation is a mix of premium transportation and travel, luxurious accommodation, the finest of Irish golf links courses with 36 holes a day.
Flying into Shannon is a must for this Irish Golf Tour. As I have mentioned in a previous blog posts, Shannon has access to most of the major airports to and from the USA, Canada & Europe.
In this itinerary the golfers will be travelling by
helicopter. I am highlighting Trump Doonbeg for its
location to the links golf courses, the luxurious standards of accommodation,
the golf practice facilities, customer service, restaurants and its location to Shannon Airport.
Travelling by Helicopter is incredibly easy and very short flying times between courses. As you travel from Doonbeg to each golf course the views of the Irish country side are just simply beautiful. You can expect the following approximately helicopter flying times between the Lodge and golf courses as follows:
- 15 minutes to Ballybunion Golf Club
- 17 minutes to Tralee Golf Club
- 30 minutes to Waterville Golf Links
- 35 minutes to Old Head Golf Links
- 5 minutes to Lahinch Golf Club
- 15 minutes to Shannon Airport

Note:
Depart from Shannon airport. You need to ensure that you
check in for your flight at Shannon Airport no later than 2hrs before your
flight departure time

Accommodation:
Trump Doonbeg; 4 bedroom ocean view suite and single room occupancy
Transportation:
You will travel by Helicopter from Trump Doonbeg to each of the golf courses and return each evening.
Chauffeured driven Mercedes sprinter on standby and the
luxury coach will available at each helicopter point. This is standard procedure
in case of fog and the helicopter will be grounded. Helicopter transfers from
Trump Doonbeg to all the golf courses and from Shannon airport.
Dining:
Suggested restaurants (ranked in order of recommendations):
*** Morrissey Seafood bar, Doonbeg (this is an easy place to
stop to enjoy a really nice seafood restaurant en-route back from Tralee or
Ballybunion).This restaurant is located approx. 35 – 45 minutes south of
Lahinch.
*** Doonbeg Pub and the Atlantic View restaurants at the Lodge at Doonbeg
