After
this trip, I had some time to consult with the our customer, Mr McNamara and I
have made the following notes from my his feedback.
Golf
Courses:
All
the golf courses were in good condition. But the European Club played very challenging for this group and they mentioned a couple of items:
1. The rough was a little too tough on this occasion
1. The rough was a little too tough on this occasion
2. Mr McNamara felt they needed a lot more local knowledge to shot lower scores.
The
greens at the Carton House Montgomery course were great and the weather they had
playing Doonbeg and Lahinch G.C was just fantastic. They did like playing with
a PGA golf professional each day. As a result this added significantly to their golfing experience.
Most of the golfers enjoyed posting better tournament scores and they had more fun because they were
losing less golf balls. Plus, they could compete and make more bets during their respective two
man team matches.
The
group were all night owls and they really enjoyed their stay at the Temple Bar
Hotel. But be prepared to be disturbed if you are a light sleeper! The music generally vibrates through the building until the music stops. They did like the central hotel location to the pubs and it was within a 5
to 10 minute walk to restaurants around Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street.
There
were all happy with the restaurant selections and the seating arrangements suited
the group. They had a great time during the Wednesday's nights entertainment at Tubridys Pub in Doonbeg. They had "a very special trip".
So
all together, the group had a great time and a lot of great memories to take
home.
